A glorious day for Tweeting … !

A productive and inspiring day was had by all who attended out Twitter Tactics training day yesterday in the glorious Surrey Hills.  The sun shone and the tweets were flying as we explored the amazing possibilities afforded by Twitter for building powerful connections and relationships, advocating others, and becoming known for our areas of expertise.

40 odd tweeters gathered to attend a three hour training session with @nicktadd @thebookwright and @4_walls, followed by a creative netwalk to enjoy the stunning views.

The basics of Twitter were covered and then more detail was given on how to make powerful connections on Twitter through use of the Twitter search function, advanced search, and various third party apps that allow you to target people by location and business interest.

We also heard from Sally Aisling of @surreylets who spoke about how she has generated £7K of business through Twitter in 4 months.  She actually let a house to someone in Australia via Twitter, and was also recently contacted via Twitter by a famous footballer who has asked Sally to manage his portfolio of properties in the Surrey area.  “Twitter is incredible” was Sally’s closing remark.

The event was tweeted live on Twitter via #surrey, where you will find highlights.

Thank you to @getsurrey and @surreylife for their wonderful support, re-tweets, and event coverage.  You can read @getsurrey ‘s coverage here
