Tweetgrid: The implications of this one are big
What tweetgrid gives you the ability to do is set your very own page with the “twitter information” that you want, from the followers you want, and from the hashtags you want!
ALL IN REAL-TIME!!
All you have to do is go to tweetgrid.com

Select what type of input you want i.e 1×1 1×2 etc (meaning the amount of “boxes” of information you want) and go to the next page.

(mine is 4 boxes (clockwise) n @nicktadd, @thomaspower, #smgecademy (the club’s hashtag), #ecademy)
Here you will find the “end result”. All you need to do now is allocate the “followee” or the “hashtag” to the relevant “box” and hey presto your very own “twitterfall” of multiple accounts and hashtags.
You can also create short links to YOUR page – this is mine –
Plus twitter search code that you can put into your own site via basic code.
The reasons why I say the implications are significant are as follows: twitter, IMHO, is going to be quite a big player in the web world (as if it’s not already!) and one of the knock-on effects of it is the ability to “connect/follow” a huge amount of people. Considering that “social media” conversations are now eclipsing e-mail, keeping them “in check” is a game in it’s own right.
Tweetgrid 1.0 give us that ability, albeit in a basic form, to do this. Real time intervention on one hand is great but on the other is a pain, because we lack the tools to benefit from it. Technology HAS to keep up with the immense flow of information.
That is why, as we speak today, applications such as tweetgrid are so important, not only as a great app for today but to train us for the ones that will matter tomorrow.
